Tax counseling relating to tax law proceedings at the (high) Court
When a business generates income, a substantial share has to be paid on taxes. Nobody likes it, but that’s the way it is. However every taxpayer has the right to go to court in the case of a dispute with a tax inspector regarding the amount of tax due. A key point here is how likely you are to win this coming battle. You only go to court if you have a good chance of winning. In order to justify the costs of going to court, the amount at stake must be significant.
Tax counseling relating to international tax matters
Innovative Tax specializes in international tax planning and advice. In previous years, Innovative Tax has built on its experience with solving complex international tax matters. For example, we were asked by a Dutch tax resident engaged in professional diving activities whether it would be a good idea to structure these global activities through a Delaware Limited company. Another example concerned a Dutch tax resident employed by a Jamaican/US cruise ship company and who was a professional cook on a cruise ship which sailed under a Maltese flag. We were asked about the tax and social security consequences.
Managing your private and corporate tax compliance
We will be happy to manage your private Dutch income tax (including social security premiums) return. We have broad experience with filing income tax returns for private taxpayers who are Dutch tax residents and who generate their personal income wholly or partly in a foreign country.
Providing (in-house) training on international tax matters
We regularly provide on-the-job training relating to international and Dutch taxation in English or Dutch. These tax training sessions combine the theory with an emphasis on the practical applicability based on our experiences in the (inter) national tax practice. In consultation with you, we determine the subject and the level of detail. Here are some of the subjects which have already been addressed during (in-house) tax training:
Optimizing the tax position of the company and that of the director-shareholder(s) in private
You will encounter various issues when you are part of a family business which you may have built up yourself. These might relate to funding or an expansion of your business activities, or concern the appropriate measures to guarantee the continuity of the business. Other examples of family business issues are the structuring of control over the business, recruiting and retaining good employees or making arrangements for the succession of the business to the next generation.
